BOARD MEMBER

Dr. Biggs went to Medical School at the University of Kansas graduating in 1984. He did his Internal Medicine residency at the Medical College of Wisconsin where he was Chief Resident. He completed his fellowship in Hematology and Oncology at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia and stayed on faculty for a couple of years doing clinical research in bone marrow transplantation. In 1994 he joined a Hematology/Oncology private practice in Wilmington, DE.  He and his wife, Faye Morin raised their family in Chadds Ford, PA. They have a daughter who is an Emergency Room physician in Anchorage, AK and a son who is a health care business consultant in Boston, MA.  In 2020, Dr. Biggs and his wife fulfilled a long term dream and moved to Summit County Colorado full time. They enjoy skiing, hiking, biking (both road and mountain), golf and socializing with many new friends. Dr. Biggs also is a volunteer board member of Elevated Community Health, formerly known as the Summit Community Care Clinic. In that role he is dedicated to making sure quality health care is available to everyone in our community regardless of their ability to pay.

Dr. Biggs practices in a ½ time position as a Hematologist/Oncologist at St. Anthony Summit. In that role he sees first-hand the difficulty many patients have accessing supportive care services in Summit County while trying to deal with serious medical problems such as cancer.  His motivation for joining the board of Lean on Us is to make those services more easily obtainable for those struggling with cancer in our community.
